Anita2024-04-24An incredible lifetime experience I'm so excited to share my review of my seven day private trip to Tanzania with African Savannah trekkers. It was absolutely an incredible trip with them! The communication with the team was smooth and easy, making the whole planning process a breeze. The trip itself exceeded all expectations. James, our guide, was simply amazing. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we had the best experience possible. We explored beautiful landscapes in the game drives, encountered incredible wildlife, and learned so much about the local culture. Everything was carefully planned and they delivered beyond my expectations! It was truly a trip of a lifetime.L H2024-03-17Great company, goes above and beyond! African Savannah Trekkers was highly recommended to me by a friend of mine who has traveled extensively internationally. He did a lot of online research before settling on working with Philomena and the African Savannah Trekkers team because they were able to customize the tour to his specific needs. Also, and I didn’t realize this until I was on my trip itself, they plan solo tours, so you never have to worry about being stuck with strangers or having to adjust your schedule to fit other people’s agendas. Philo was an absolutely joy to work with throughout the process. She kept in constant communication with me via WhatsApp and went above and beyond in helping me book the trip and accompanying flights. When I accidentally booked the wrong domestic flight with a domestic Tanzania airline and was not able to pay for my rebooked flights or get any help via email to rebook and make payment, she personally went to their office and booked and paid for my flight, for me to repay later. When I wanted to add on an extra few days in Zanzibar and wanted to change my agenda to spend a night in Stone Town, she booked me into a very unique boutique hotel in the heart of the old town which made sightseeing a breeze. Throughout my trip, there were multiple times where Philo accompanied my driver/guide or personally picked me up or dropped me off at the airport. And finally, upon my return from Zanzibar and before my flight to return home on a long international flight, she arranged for me to spend the rest of my downtime in a beautiful resort so I could get cleaned up and rest before a a full day and a half of air travel. My guide, Eli, was very patient and kind and attentive. And I really appreciated all of his knowledge with the animals on safari. I lost count of all of the lions we saw! And he even spotted the elusive black rhino in the Ngorongoro Crater! He was very flexible with our schedule when my balloon safari wasn’t able to take flight on the original scheduled day, but I was able to go the next day. Our tour guide, Elisante, from African Savannah Trekkers was absolutely amazing! He picked us up from the air strip and was with us for the entirety of the tour. He was so very knowledgeable about all the animals and surroundings that it really enriched the safari experience. He was also very flexible and accommodating for alternate routes we needed to take due to rain or other vehicles malfunctioning. Elisante also made sure we got the best angles and views for our pictures of the animals and the safari surrounding areas. He even took us to a shopping center and reminded us to bargain. We decided to organize our Safari experience in Tanzania with African Savannah Trekkers as a close friend suggested us this super agency and we couldn’t be more happy! We embraced Philomena suggestions and we went for a 5 days/4 nights Safari: it was the most incredible experience ever! We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara parks with our private English-speaker and super cool driver/guide Isaac, almost able to see all the big 5 thanks to his great experience: he always knew which road to take 😊 Moreover, he had great knowledge about all animals life and flora, making the tour even more valuable. The service of the agency was excellent and the trip very well organized. The night before our Safari departure Philomena visited us in our hotel to give us all details and information about the trip and during the tour was always available in case of any need. The wildlife was so diverse and abundant; it felt like stepping into a nature documentary! Booking the safari was a breeze through their website. The process was so easy and straightforward. I just selected the package, entered my details, and voilà, everything was set for the adventure of a lifetime! Our guide was exceptional! Zusammen haben wir die beste Zeit unseres Leben gehabt. Zweimal hat er es geschafft das wir die seltenen Nashörner gesehen haben. Die big Five haben wir gleich am zweiten Tag schon auf unserer Liste abhaken können. Er hat so viel Geduld und wartet in Ruhe bis ihr eure Fotos gemacht habt.
